Named after the land of the rising sun, the Tokyo Iced Tea cocktail will transport you on a spiritual journey with its exotic and delicious flavours.
The Tokyo Tea Cocktail is essentially a variation of the world-famous classic, the Long Island Iced Tea. All that is done is the flavours are substituted to give a really interesting twist. Similar to the Long Island Iced Tea, the Tokyo Iced Tea is made with Gin, Vodka, Tequila and Rum, it’s no surprise that between bartenders the two are better known as a white liquor extravaganza. But, that also means that the Tokyo Iced Tea is just as deadly as the Long Island Iced Tea, and should be drunk with just as much caution.
However, despite it being such a lethal combination of strong liqueurs, the Tokyo Iced Tea has a surprisingly mellow yet fascinating flavour. With Midori and lemon-lime soda in place of the Triple Sec and dark coloured cola, the Tokyo Iced Tea has a beautiful lime-green hue to it, and is a fizzy, clear drink which will surely send you on one hell of a buzzy drink.
This is definitely a welcome change for lovers of traditional Long Island Iced Tea, as well as a great drink to enjoy for pretty much anybody else. Best drunk with friends, this spirited cocktail is sure to inflame your spirit as well, but go easy on it, because the ingredients are nothing if not potent.
