This seductive sounding cocktail is heavy on the liqueur, easy on the eyes, and strong on the senses. Being the colour of lime, it is inevitably bound to comprise of sweet and sour flavours, and its citrusy zest makes this drink not only potent but seriously tempting.

As with most popular cocktails, the original recipe for Tie Me To The Bedpost is subjected to quite a few variations, where some keep the same name, while others attach numbers to the name to create different versions. The Tie Me To The Bedpost cocktail has a very naughty name because it is claimed that after having one of these, you may want to be tied to a bedpost, and if you have two or more, you might need to be tied – to a bedpost, or simply just tied down. So, if you choose to order this at a bar or enjoy it at a party, make sure you don’t go too overboard.
