When you call a person the perfect 10, you’re saying they get a perfect score of 10 out of 10, as though being scored by judges, usually for how attractive they are. The Perfect 10 cocktail is similarly named because it is claimed to be the perfect cocktail.

This is a sweet and sour martini that typically incorporates brand specific alcohols, although it can be made with other liqueurs as well. In some variations, the primary alcohol for this cocktail is Rum, Bacardi Limon Rum to be specific, followed by Pisang Ambon liqueur as the secondary alcohol. In other variations available online, the recipe calls for Tanqueray No. 10 Gin, which would also explain the name of the recipe, and is thus purported to be a secondary variation of the recipe. Whereas the former one is more likely to have been initially used when first creating the original version of this cocktail.

Tanqueray No. 10 Gin is known around the world as one of the top gins. It incorporates distilled whole fruits for a smooth and defined delivery of fruity flavours. In this variation of the recipe, only one liqueur is called for, which is also the only ingredient.

On the other hand, the other variation of the recipe incorporates greater flavours and a more extensive flavour profile due to multiple ingredients. The two liqueurs are complimented by lemon juice and Sprite soft drink, and the end result is a delectable martini that will satiate your cravings for something tasty while also giving you that buzz you desire. Therefore that variant is the one which will be introduced here.

The following is a recipe for this perfect cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml Bacardi Limon Rum
  • 30 ml Pisang Ambon Liqueur
  • Lemon Juice
  • Sprite Soda

Preparation:

  1. Add the 2 alcohols into a martini glass
  2. Then, add equal amounts of Lemon Juice and Sprite until the glass is full
  3. Serve immediately without ice

Equipment:

  • Martini glass
