The Malibu Sunrise is a tasty fruity cocktail based off the classic Tequila Sunrise and a welcome part of the “Sunrise” themed family cocktails. This is a more tropical and sunny variation of the Tequila Sunrise, featuring more fruity flavours and of course, the incorporation of Malibu, the world famous delicious Coconut Rum. Coconut rum is sweet and delicate, and incorporates the creamy taste of fresh coconuts, which will inevitably put you in the Malibu mood.
The Malibu Sunrise is easy on the eyes, and also on the senses, especially compared to its hard liqueur variations. It is the perfect beach drink, and is classy enough to merit a place at any up-class brunch or daytime party as well. Its sweet and tart flavours make it hard to resist more servings, and its surprisingly light liqueur flavours might fool some into underestimating its buzz.
In appearance, this Malibu inspired drink greatly resembles its “Sunrise” variant cocktails, with the final splash of grenadine at the end sinking down to the bottom of the glass and rising up to create the most beautifully gradated drink which is sure to impress anyone. Bartenders around the world can whip up this tasty concoction, with beach bars being the most popular hotspot for it. Grenadine is always a welcome addition to any cocktail, and the tangy orange juice does the rest.
