Since its creation, RumChata has been a wildly successful product that has helped to create all sorts of cocktails, including replicating the lemon cake in cocktail form. The beauty about this particular drink that means to remind drinkers of a dessert, is that it is so ridiculously easy to make.

The star of the drink is the RumChata, and for who don’t know, the product is actually a genius cream liqueur created from mixing both rum and horchata. The business was created by former Jim Beam employee Tom Maas in Wisconsin. There are hints of vanilla, sugar, cinnamon and other secret flavors included, as well. The drink is not the only one who tries to recreate the taste of a lemon pastry in drink form – there is the Lemon Cupcake Martini, as well, for example. The Lemon Chiffon Cake cocktail is another drink, although it is much more fizzy and tart, rather than the Lemon Cake cocktail, which is sweet and creamy. It is quite obviously a great choice for a dessert drink, as the name would imply. For those who simply can’t get enough of lemon in general, a wedge could serve as the perfect garnish. Another interesting fact is that the other ingredient, limoncello, an Italian lemon liqueur, in direct contrast to the other main ingredient, has a hundred-year old history with unknown origins. For those who want a drink with both modern and historical elements, or for simply those who love sweet drinks with a lemon flavor, this is the obvious choice!
