Gummy Bear Martini Recipe

There are all sorts of different cocktails, for different occasions. There are formal cocktails to celebrate special moments, there are fruity cocktails for an outside lawn party, there are brunch cocktails that are great to enjoy while the sun is still up, and there are dessert cocktails.

As one can see, there are many different categories of cocktails, whether you are ordering a sophisticated and historical cocktail to impress a date, or simply want to have fun. It’s very clear where the gummy bear martini lies – it’s a whimsical cocktail that is meant to be fun and interesting. It may not be what you order every happy hour, but it’s a great way to spice up a holiday party or simply to surprise someone with a sweet tooth. This cocktail is a modern one, for the record – the recipe was discovered during an estate sale in 1989.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ ounce of raspberry vodka
  • 1 ounce of peach schnapps
  • 1 ounce of cranberry juice
  • Ice
  • Gummy bears

Preparation:

  1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker over ice.
  2. Shake well.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with gummy bears.

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Cocktail glass

Gummy bear martinis aren’t meant to be a set-in-stone martini, and drinkers can customize the drink in various ways. One obvious way is to switch up the flavors of vodka involved in the cocktail. A great option would be a pineapple or pear vodka, for example, to introduce a fruity aspect to the cocktail. Of course, one can also add some freshly squeezed fruit juice instead – such as grapefruit juice, or watermelon juice, which would complement the sweetness provided by the gummy bear garnishes.
