With a girly name like Cinderella, you probably won’t be spotting any lad ordering it at the bar, but they’d be missing out. This cocktail brings the tropical fruit flavours to vivid life, and is the perfect sweet and refreshing cocktail. A favourite of many, the Cinderella cocktail is best enjoyed on swelteringly hot summer days, or during a Sunday brunch, especially with company around. If you’re off to a picnic or hosting a birthday party, this easy to make cocktail is a great idea to whip up beforehand in a large pitcher for a fun and yummy treat.
In addition to being the ideal party drink at home, bartenders also often choose to offer this cocktail to designated drivers, or those who aren’t particularly fond of drinking or the taste of alcohol. This is because it has a very universally appealing sweet and refreshing taste, is far more enjoyable than drinking a soft drink or a cup of coffee, and is very mild on the senses.
The Cinderella cocktail is easy to mix up, as it comprises of three different juices, mixed with ginger ale and grenadine. The tartness of the fruit juices lends a strongly flavoured base to the drink, which is mellowed out by the sweetness of the grenadine. The end result is a beautifully tropical peach-crimson drink, which hardly takes a minute to mix up. Best served in a tall glass, this delicious cocktail is also a great thirst quencher.
