The Buttery Nipple is a great party shooter, which is a lot of fun and thus popular pretty much everywhere and quite well-known. The tasty Buttery Nipple Shot incorporates the creamy flavour and texture of butterscotch candy, making it deliciously irresistible for most.

The world of party shots, however, involves most of the shots being subjected to numerous variations as people try to introduce their own twists on a classic recipe. The same is the case with this drink; however nothing can beat the taste of the original. When this shot is properly prepared, it has the unique appearance of two distinct, visible layers, because its two ingredients are of extremely different consistencies.

Unlike most dirty or naughty named cocktails, the history of this drink is actually available to read, even though it is not completely confirmed. However, the drink is thought to have been originally invented by the actress Asra Arif and Penny Lane of Queens. It is claimed to have been created while trying to come up with a Halloween costume that involves using a rubber nipple. According to this line of events, the cocktail is believed to have been invented originally in the 1980s, and this was time when several cocktails and mixed drinks have newly rose into popularity again. It was also the era of drinks starting to get inappropriate names, something which was disapproved of at the time, because most critics and lovers of cocktails felt that the “cult” of name cocktails with inappropriate or dirty innuendos was simply to gain popularity among young drinkers who are after fun and not concerned with the tastes. However, the Buttery Nipple also happens to be a great tasting drink, and a lot of fun to enjoy with friends.
