This cocktail is one that looks spectacular… and tastes great too! It is made with creepy black vodka which you can either buy or make, grenadine and soda. Topped with a maraschino cherry, these tall, refreshing drinks look very special.

Black vodka is an exciting and impressive drink that is great for parties at Halloween to drink with a mixer or to make wonderful looking cocktails that will taste and look amazing. There are few black vodkas on the market at the moment, one being Blavod. If, however, you cannot find a black vodka in the shops you can make your own very easily.

You will need 1 bottle of vodka, blue, red and green food colouring:

Add 10 drops of blue food colouring, 10 drops of red food colouring and 8 drops of green food colouring into the bottle of vodka. Seal the vodka well and shake vigorously. Leave until needed and then shake well before pouring.

Black magic is the label given to the supernatural magic used for evil and selfish purposes. Often included under the label of black magic is Satanism and Voodoo. It all dates long back in history, but during the Renaissance period dark magic grew greatly in popularity.

Here’s hoping no dark magic finds its way to your Halloween cocktail party! So here is the recipe for your Black Magic Cocktail:

  • 60 ml black vodka
  • 15 ml grenadine
  • 255 ml lemonade
  • Maraschino cherry to garnish
  • Ice

  1. In a tall collins cocktail glass pour in ice to fill.
  2. Add the vodka and grenadine.
  3. Fill the glass with the lemonade.
