You should never judge a book by it's cover, but God knows people never stop trying. So, As a man take that Single Malt or Scotch in your hand and announce in a bar or pub that you are a man! (Mojito or Screwdriver won't cut it, even if you like the taste :-) ) So, the question is What Whisky should I Drink?

Gentlemen, it's time to man up. Flex a manly muscle, lower that voice and order a manly man's drink. For a reason or a season, Keep calm and Drink Whisky. Which is,

Old Fashioned

The Old fashioned is a very traditional Whisky (or Brandy) cocktail, made by muddling sugar, water and slice of orange rind with bitter then adding whisky.

  • 1 Sugar Cube
  • 3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 60 ml or 2 Ounces of Rye whisky
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange Slice and a Maraschino Cherry for Garnish

The Boilermaker is a classic old cocktail. This is the sort of drink you enjoy after a hard day at work, you need to relax fast. An old school straight forward drink with 1 shot of whisky and 3/4 glass of beer (we prefer Guinness Stout).

  • 30 ml or 1 ounce of Whisky
  • 1 pint of Guinness stout
  • Drop the shot of galss into the beer glass

Glenfidich Caesar

Caesar typically contains vodka, Clamato (a proprietary blend of tomato juice and clam broth), hot sauce and Worcestershire sauce, and is served with ice in a large, celery salt-rimmed glass, typically garnished with a stalk of celery and wedge of lime. But we are feeling a bit adventurous, so we are going to use single malt whisky instead of vodka.

  • 60 ml Glenfidich whisky
  • 60 ml Motts clamato juice
  • 60 ml tomato juice
  • 1 dash tabasco sauce
  • 1 dash worcestenshire sause
  • 15 ml Italian dressing (Montreal steak spice, celery salt, apricot jam)

  • 45 ml or 1.5 ounces of Apple-Bacon infused Irish whisky
  • 30 ml Lemon juice
  • 15 ml maple syrup
  • 15 ml egg white
  • Ice cubes
