The cocktail inspired by the timeless silent comedian is in fact a delicious blend of liquor and juice flavours. Greatly relished by women, the Pink Panther cocktail is a popular drink that most would enjoy any time of the day, at any occasion.

A lot of variations exist for this recipe around the world and online as well. Bartenders and amateur cocktail makers alike enjoy playing around with the recipe and ingredients to introduce new flavours. However the hue of the drink remains the same pretty shade of pink to stay true to its name.

The Pink Panther cocktail is a smooth and sweet drink which is a little heavy on the calories but oh so delicious. Not to be confused by the many variations of Pink Panther mocktails, shakes and all other manner of beverages, as the name Pink Panther is quite popularly given to drinks of all sorts. This drink definitely qualifies as a thirst quencher, and has hints of tropical flavours as well, which would explain its popularity at events, parties and larger gatherings. It is not a wild one, but it definitely lends a great buzz, so those who crave a stronger kick will not be too disappointed either.

Here is a recipe for the fine-looking Pink Panther cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 75 ml Coconut Rum (Bacardi Cocoa)
  • 30 ml Vodka
  • 15 ml Peach Schnapps
  • 15 ml Triple Sec
  • Splash Grapefruit juice
  • Splash of Orange juice
  • Dash of Grenadine

Preparation

  1. Leave ice cubes in Martini glass for 5 minutes to chill it, then remove the ice
  2. Add ice cubes to cocktail shaker
  3. Pour all ingredients except grenadine into the cocktail shaker
  4. Shake briskly and strain into empty chilled Martini glass
  5. Slowly drop in the dash of grenadine so it sinks to the bottom
